COLUMBUS, OH – Newly (but not surprisingly) out of the closet Trey Pearson, lead singer for the “Christian rock band” Everyday Sunday, will join his spiritual “main man” and mentor Rob Bell on stage later this month at PrideFest in Columbus, where the two will perform what is being billed as “a stirring duet proclaiming pride, self-centeredness, and the unbound affirmation of perversion from one man to another”.
“I’m just so thankful to God for bringing Rob into my life,” gushed an emotional Pearson at a press event promoting Columbus’ upcoming celebration of rank debauchery and perversion. “The way that he was able to help me understand that living out a homosexual lifestyle was perfectly fine and that my wife and kids, if they really loved me, would understand and support me in my self-serving, self-referential pursuit of personal destruction, I mean…wow…that was huge!”
“Oh, and the way he explained that there really is no Hell sure helped a lot, too.”
The much anticipated Bell/Pearson duet will be a medley featuring bits from Frank Sinatra’s “My Way”, Madonna’s “Vogue”, the theme song from Pee-wee’s Playhouse and “Home Sweet Home” by Motley Crue.
