HOUSTON, TX - Profoundly confused boomer Christian leaders across the nation are celebrating the arrival of a massive demon god in Texas as word spreads of a huge new statue erected next to a Hindu temple in the Sugar Land area.

The 90-foot tall, 90-ton statue completed late last year depicts the Hindu demon god Hanuman, a pretend deity who helped rescue the kidnapped wife of Rama, another false god of Hindu mythology. As word spread of the gigantic demon's presence in Texas, supposedly conservative Christian leaders like Southern Baptist Malcolm Yarnell celebrated the demon god's arrival as a wonderful fruit of "religious liberty".

Even slightly biblically literate observers are expressing concern over the discernment of evangelical leaders who welcome the arrival of giant demon gods in American suburbs, and are beginning to openly wonder if, with Christian leadership like this, we should brace for the arrival of more giant demos in the land.

"Wow! How much more obviously idiotic can you be?" asked twelve-year-old homeschool student Levi Smith. "This would be super funny if it wasn't so pathetic. I guess that's what happens when you trade in what the Bible says about liberty for what the government has to say instead."

Many other non-credentialed Christian laypeople shared young Levi's perspective.

"None of this should be surprising," explained Richard Bobby, the owner of a local small business now sitting in the shadow of the demon god, "What we're seeing here is the totally predictable result of Christians trading away the most basic and obvious biblical truth in favor of an American-flavored satanic counterfeit. The Bible is very clear that true freedom and liberty center on obedience to King Jesus in every area of life, but Americans have been programmed to believe just the opposite by a government system that has made itself god . . . with the help of system-approved experts like Malcolm Yarnell, of course."

"It's as if we're getting our definition of liberty from the same demons we celebrate in public. Funny how things work out that way."
