THE PENTAGON – The vast majority of citizens living in the land of the free and the home of the NSA are now “practically begging for the United States to become a military police state”, according to a new report released by the Pentagon.
According to the report, 63% of Americans now believe that government should do “whatever it takes” to stop bad people from doing bad things, “up to and including pre-crime detection and prevention measures taken right out of Orwell’s 1984 and Huxley’s Brave New World“.
Similarly, 59% support constant government “supervision” of all electronic communication, including phone calls, texts, and emails; while 52% favor government surveillance of all public activities at all times by way of video camera, drone, or “whatever other means might be available and necessary to keep Americans safe”.
With tragic events in Dallas and Orlando fanning the flames of pro-police state sentiment that have been shaping American culture for decades now, the majority of the population “finally seems to have reached a tipping point at which they’re pretty much ready to toss whatever privacy, freedom, and liberty they have left onto the burn pile in exchange for any promise of security and stability offered through the raw power of militarized police operating at the behest of an all powerful government,” the report explained.
Government officials heralded the government-issued report as “proof positive that Americans are finally ready to do what needs to be done in order to safeguard their freedom, liberty, and privacy, which is, of course: Sacrifice what’s left of their freedom, liberty, and privacy to the almighty American State.”
